News Chateau - Cannes Lions
News UK approached Flavourology with the brief of 'bringing their brands to life’ during a dining event to take place at their News Chateau during Cannes Lions.
As long time fans of Gingerline’s multi-dimensional dining experience, Chambers of Flavour, the dining event needed to be multi-room, while also bringing in devices to spotlight a range of brands from The Sun to The Times/Sunday Times, Unruly, Fake News and Wireless.
Flavourology designed a four-course adventure based around a press conference, a heist on the Riviera, some tantalisingly delicious food and some incredibly passionate editors. The fuller details are top secret but our 80 diners certainly got stuck in as part of the make-believe editorial team.
Course 1: Canapés
Tea & biscuits
Rosemary & parmesan shortbread with chicken liver parfait & sour cherry compote
Dark chocolate & strawberry creams
Bitter cocoa & pine nut biscuit with beetroot & goat’s cheese cream
Horseradish macaron with smoked salmon & dill
Course 2: The Nation's Favourite Dish
Cured & confit sea bream with sweet potato crisps, pea salsa verde & malt vinegar air
Bread & seaweed butter
Course 3: Multiple Levels of Flavour
Beef cheek & sirloin with textures of onion - seared spring onion, white onion purée, tropea onion, potato & shallot galette
Course 4: The Wife’s Revenge
Rosemary & chilli panna cotta with milk chocolate mousse & malted meringue shards
